Join Inspiration Station for Stars, Stripes & STEAM, a COSI Science Festival Community Event celebrating America’s 250-year journey of discovery, ingenuity, and problem-solving.
This hands-on community event honors the scientists, engineers, inventors, and innovators who helped shape the nation — from the spirit of the American Revolution to the technologies defining our future. Families and guests of all ages are invited to explore, create, and experience STEAM through fun, interactive activities.
Featured hands-on experiences include:
- Make a light-up greeting card using circuits
- Build a bridge and test it for strength
- Experience a virtual reality session
- Code a patriotic Raspberry Pi program
- Watch multiple 3D printers in action
- Make patriotic bracelets and pinwheels
- Contribute to a time capsule to be opened in 10 years
Additional activities include:
- Building blocks
- Lego construction
- Light Bright and gear wall
- Historical people, events, and equipment
Guests can also enjoy cotton candy and popcorn during the event.
